There is so much about Copper that it’s hard to know where to begin! The resort has been working diligently to make itself a premier destination in the Colorado Rockies and it is succeeding in that pursuit! The accommodation is top notch, offering a perfect balance of tastes for your budget. You can stay in luxurious condo at a great price or an inexpensive standard unit. The New Village at Copper is focused around a large skating rink that will have plenty of unique shops and restaurants to enjoy. Copper’s approach is to give its guests something they can’t get at any other destination. They want to make everything there unique, special, and one of a kind.
As for the skiing, Copper can’t be beat. The terrain is impressive yet the balance for beginners, intermediates, and experts will delight everyone in the group. Experts can take the Super Bee, high speed six-seater chair, right the crux of the tough stuff, while intermediates can zip up the mountain on either high speed quad from the base area. Copper Mountain is one of the most snow reliable resorts in Summit County and boasts a very impressive snow record. They have an incredible system of snowmaking so coverage is almost a certainty.
Why Go There?
Why Go Elsewhere?
Fantastic skiing terrain
Impressive new lodging accommodations
Perfect location for exploring nearby Vail resorts
Altitude can be an issue
Lack of nightlife
Copper offers you a choice of lodging in two unique villages, East Village and Centre Village. Each area offers accommodations just steps away from the mountain and all of Copper’s amenities. Regardless of what level accommodation you choose (standard, deluxe or premium), you will be right in the heart of the resort. The Villages are just a short walk (or shuttle ride) from each other and from the family area at Union Creek. The recent renovations at the area in the past 2 years have really turned this resort into the perfect base for exploring all the skiing in the area.
Staying at Copper compliments the skiing of Copper. The recent renovations and development of the New Village have made it a great place to stay. There are premium condos located in both the East and Centre Villages that incorporate wonderful woodworking and wrought iron decorations. It’s the nice touches that make these accommodations so special, and the fact that most of the accommodation at Copper is slopeside is an added benefit!
The nightlife at Copper isn’t as lively as other nearby resort towns, but there are still plenty of options to keep revellers happy with several restaurants and bars for those seeking a nice meal and good fun later on.
Copper is a great spot. Comfortable and convenient, it’s in a perfect location for exploring all of the ski areas in Summit County while still being able to enjoy the familiarity of an intimate, but by no means, small ski area.
